BOND SUMMARY: It has been a quiet start to the week for fixed income with Bunds
and gilts outperforming USTs. There still don't appear to be any real
significant drivers this morning.
- Local press in Italy is reporting that Salvini is looking for September
elections.
- In a fairly quiet week for economic data, markets are already looking ahead to
next week's ECB meeting with some banks adjusting their ECB views late on Friday
and this morning.
- This will be the last week for Fed comments before the blackout begins on
Friday.
- Greece has announced that it will sell a new 7-year bond. Greek spreads are a
little wider, while other peripheral spreads a a little tighter on the day.
- TY1 futures are down -0-4+ today at 126-31 with Gilt futures up 0.22 today at
130.63 and Bund futures are up 0.27 today at 171.95.
