FOREX: It has been a quiet start to the session, with mainland China, Hong Kong
and Taiwan off for holidays. Headlines and data releases have been few and far
between. Mild risk-on flows have put USD, JPY & CHF on the defensive, while NZD
marginally leads gains in the G10 basket, with tight ranges respected so far.
- Onshore KRW reopened on the back foot, playing catch-up to yesterday's risk
aversion. Despite trimming some losses, it remains the worst performer in Asia.
- U.S. GDP (t), durable goods orders (p) and initial jobless claims, German GfK
Consumer Confidence, as well as comments from ECB's Schnabel, Mersch & Knot,
Fed's Kaplan & Bostic and BoE's Haldane. The ECB will publish minutes from its
Jun MonPol meeting; rate decisions from the BSP, Banxico & CBRT are also due.
