GILT SUMMARY
GILT SUMMARY: It has been a very quiet afternoon for gilts after the large move
higher this morning.
- The Supreme Court are expected to deliver their ruling at 10:30BST tomorrow on
whether the government's move to prorogue parliament was illegal. The
constitutional ramifications of the case could be large.
- Later today, around 5:20BST, Labour members and unions are expected to vote in
a series of two votes over what official position the party should take
regarding Brexit. Again, this vote is expected to have wider implications as
most pollsters expect Labour to do better in a general election if they
explicitly back remain.
- Gilt futures are up 0.89 today at 133.53 with 10y yields down -7.6bp at 0.550%
and 2y yields down -5.4bp at 0.464%.
