FOREX: It was a low-key affair in the Asia-Pacific region, the absence of any
significant data for the region saw the dollar mostly trade sideways, while
commodity currencies mildly underperformed amid softer commodity prices, ore and
coking-coal futures down around 3.0% and Shanghai steel rebar down 1.3%.
Dollar-yen was confined to a narrow Y112.71 to Y112.93 range, last at Y112.89.
Aussie faded from $0.7856 to $0.7821 and was last at $0.7823. Kiwi-dollar carved
out a $0.7197 to $0.7233 range. Meanwhile, Euro-dollar currently trades at
$1.1738 and Cable at $1.3384, after trading in respective ranges of $1.1733 to
$1.1756 and $1.3381 to $1.3408.
