Italian Oil Consumption Rose 1.3% YoY in Q1

Italian oil consumption stood at 13.65mn tons in the Jan-Mar period, up by 1.3% on the year, data from the Ministry of Ecological Transition showed.

  • Oil demand in March stood at 4.877mn tons, up by 1.1% on the year. Consumption in February totalled 4.399mn tons.
  • Gasoline demand in Q1 stood at 1.833mn tons, up by 10.2% year on year. Gasoline demand rose by 9.5% year on year in March to 677,000 tons.
  • Jet fuel demand increased by 32.1% year on year in Q1 to 810,000 tons. March demand was up by 29.2% year on year to 310,000 tons.
