Italy Gives Green Light for 600MW Italian-Tunisia Power Link

The Italian Ministry of Environment and Energy Security (MASE) has approved the 600MW Elmed interconnector between Italy-Tunisa, according to MASE.

  • The project is expected to start construction in 2024, with completion in 2028.
  • The power link will cost an estimated €850mn to complete, of which, €307mn will be financed by the EU.
