Italy Q2 Issuance Programme

EUROZONE ISSUANCE
  • The MEF has updated its planned issuance target to be E235bln for Q2-Q4 2023, from a total of E310-320bln for the entire year originally. It notes that this will give expected issuance net of redemptions of E20bln for the period.
  • In terms of new bonds on offer:
    • New 5-year BTP, maturity 1 August 2028 (min outstanding E10bln).
    • New 7-year BTP, maturity 1 June 2030 (min outstanding E10bln).
    • New 10-year BTP, maturity 1 November 2033 (min outstanding E10bln).
  • It will also reopen:
    • 3.40% Mar-25 BTP Short Term (minimum E9bln outstanding, launched 22 February).
    • 3-year 3.80% Apr-26 BTP (minimum E9bln outstanding, launched 14 March).
    • 5-year 3.40% Apr-28 BTP (E12.3bln outstanding, launched 28 November).
    • 10-year 4.40% May-33 BTP (minimum E10bln already exceeded, launched 28 October).
