Jao July DE-CH Auction Price Spread Widens

The latest Jao monthly July CBC auction between Switzerland and Germany allocated all of the offered capacity, with capacity increases in the Swiss-German direction, while the settled price spread increased according to Jao.

  • All of the offered capacity of 1.14GW has been allocated in the Switzerland-Germany direction for July delivery at €22.06/MWh.
  • For June delivery, in the Switzerland-Germany direction, all 710MW of offered capacity was allocated at €7.19/MWh.
  • All of the 200MW of offered capacity in the opposite direction has been allocated at €2.25/MWh.
  • For June delivery in the Germany-Switzerland direction, all 200MW of offered capacity was allocated at €3.03/MWh.
  • The German July power base-load contract settled on Monday at €72.79/MWh, at a €23.04/MWh premium to the Swiss market.
