Japan's Eneos Shuts Two CDU's for Maintenance

Eneos Group, Japan’s biggest refiner, shut its 172,000 bpd CDU 2 at its Kawasaki refinery and the 136,000 CDU at its Oita refinery May 13 for scheduled maintenance according to a company spokesperson cited by Reuters.

  • The Kawaski unit is expected to restart mid-August and the Oita unit late August.
  • The company restarted its 128,000-bpd CDU at its Marifu refinery on April 10 after shutting it down in late January for scheduled turnaround.
  • Its 153,000-bpd CDU at its Negishi refinery was brought back online on April 24 after going offline on March 31 due to system trouble.
