JAPAN: Japan's industrial output posted the third straight monthly rise in
April, indicating the slump in the first quarter may be temporary, but
manufacturers are cautious about output in May and June amid high inventories,
preliminary industrial production released Thursday by the Ministry of Economy,
Trade and Industry showed.
