Japan’s Onagawa 2 Reactor Restart Delayed to September

The restart of Japan's Tohoku Electric Power 0.825GW reactor No. 2 at its Onagawa nuclear plant has been delayed to September after additional safety construction works delayed the process, the company said, cited by Reuters.

  • The reactor was previously scheduled to come online in May.
  • Japan has two other reactors – Kashiwazaki-Kariwa 7 and Chugoku Electric’s No 2 – that will also come online this year.
