JGBS: JGB futures closed virtually at best levels in the final overnight session
of last week, as the contract added 17 ticks vs. Tokyo settlement levels.
- Late Friday also saw the BoJ leave its Rinban purchase plans unchanged for the
month of March.
- Worth re-flagging our latest insight piece which noted our understanding that
"the Bank of Japan may announce measures to stabilise financial markets ahead of
the Tokyo open Monday, possibly expanding special loans to support bank lending
to companies and injecting fresh liquidity into the system."
- Also worth flagging that the weekend saw PM Abe note that the government will
provide subsidies to help working parents deal with the fallout from school
closures on the back of the coronavirus outbreak.
