JGBS
JGBS: JGB futures faded from best levels as we moved through the session, after
being limited to a fairly contained range during the Sydney morning.
- The curve twist steepened as the super-long end gave way in the wake of
Friday's adjustments to the BoJ's Rinban outline for Feb (which saw cuts to the
frequency of ops in 10-25+ Year buckets).
- That move likely capped rallies across the curve, and weighed across the
broader space ahead of the close.
- Final PMI data was a touch softer than flash, although there was little focus
on local data.
- Malayan Banking mandated for a multi-tranche round of JPY issuance.
- 10-Year paper presents the focal point of tomorrow's local docket.
