JGBS
JGBS: JGB futures finished the morning session 4 ticks below settlement, with
yields across the curve a modest 0.3-0.8bp higher across the curve, and little
sign of any notable concession of the long end evident, after some early, albeit
light, curve steepening was unwound.
- Outside of the aforementioned comments from FinMin Aso, which were not market
moving, there was little to go off in terms of idiosyncrasies, with the Xinhua
headlines re: the latest Sino-U.S. trade call causing some volatility ahead of
the lunch break, as futures printed fresh lows before recovering.
