JGBS: JGB futures ran higher in overnight trade, building on the momentum
witnessed on the back of yesterday's 10-Year supply, outside of a brief dip in
early NY hours, most notably on the back of the latest U.S. NFP report, before
pushing on to fresh session highs as we ground through the session. Contract
added 13 ticks vs. settlement come the close, ending U.S. hours just shy of best
levels.
- Little to note on the local news front. NHK have suggested that members of
Japan's ruling LDP party will push back against Chinese President Xi's state
visit. Elsewhere, JiJi sources suggested that "Japan's government is considering
revising some coronavirus-related laws to impose penalties for people or
businesses that refuse quarantine or closures," per BBG.
- 1-5 & 10-25 Year BoJ Rinban ops headline locally today.
