US DATA: July factory orders -0.8%, lower than the -0.6% exp, with 
durable goods orders unrevised at -1.7%, nondurable goods orders +0.2% 
on a rise in textiles and beverages. 
- Excluding -5.2% transportation orders, factory orders would have been 
+0.2%. Durables ex. trans. were revised down to +0.1% from +0.2% in 
the advanced estimate.
- Nondefense capital goods new orders -4.5%, but +1.6% ex aircraft.    
- Total factory shipments were flat in July, with nondefense capital 
goods shipments -4.2%, but +1.0% ex aircraft.
- Factory inventories +0.8%, so combined with the advance estimates of 
+0.7% for wholesale inventories and +0.4% for retail inventories, this 
would result in +0.6% for business inventories.
