US DATA: June final demand PPI +0.3% overall and +0.3% ex food and 
energy, a slightly stronger than expected headline gain due to stronger 
energy prices and core measure that was very close to being +0.4%. PPI 
ex. food, energy, and trade services also +0.3%.
- The overall y/y rate of inflation accelerated in June to +3.4% from 
+3.1% in May, the strongest rate since Nov 2011, while PPI ex. food 
and energy +2.8% y/y, up sharply from +2.4% in May. PPI ex, food, 
energy, and trade services +2.7% y/y vs +2.6%.
- Energy prices +0.8% in the month on +6.4% diesel fuel and smaller 
gains in electricity and gas, while trade services +0.7%, but food 
prices -1.1%.
- The personal consumption price measures, often used to preview CPI 
and PCE prices +0.3% overall, +0.5% ex. food and energy, and +0.3% ex. 
food, energy, and trade services, with y/y gains above 2%.
