- June industrial production is expected to rise by 0.1% based on both the
Bloomberg consensus and an MNI survey of analysts after a larger gain in May
- Manufacturing production is expected to be up in June, but a sharp decline in
utilities production is expected to due to seasonality issues. Mining production
should be flat, but will decline with the July data released next month due to
impact of Hurricane Barry
- There is a tendency to underestimate June industrial production, so an upside
surprise is possible.
