Kashagan Delays Dent Kazakh Production Plans

Kazakhstan will not be able to fulfill its oil production plan of 85.7 million tonnes in 2022 because of Kashagan stoppages. Instead it expects to produce 84-85 million tonnes.

  • "There were problems with Kashagan. This was not particularly connected with CPC, the effect was not so big. It is mainly related to Kashagan," Kazakhstan's Energy Minister Bolat Akchulakov said.
  • "We're looking at 84 million tonnes of oil at the end of the year, but we will try to reach 85 million tonnes," he said
