Kazakh Oil Cargo Takes Huge Detour to Avoid Red Sea

Tanker Trackers flagged earlier that the suezmax tanker, AGISTRI (9597018), laden with 1 million barrels of Kazakh crude blend, is not taking the risk of Red Sea passage in order to reach South Korea.

  • The vessel will now circumnavigate Africa instead. It’s ETA is in about a month and a half highlighting the huge tonne mile add that vessels are taking on to divert – supportive of rates as it ties up fleet capacity.
