Q: Investors expect the Fed and ECB to cut around June and at a similar pace. Given the different economic landscapes, do you think that is reasonable? The language you have used today is similar to Fed Chair Powell in terms of there being no rush to cut rates. Does it broadly make sense for central banks to lower interest rates at the same time?


A: The ECB is an independent central bank and will act independently. It is not for me to say whether investors are reasonable or not.
