GILT SUMMARY: Leader of the UK Parliament Andrea Leadsom has confirmed that MPs
will vote on PM Theresa May's Brexit deal on March 12. A government spokesperson
has also indicated that there is no plan for a 3rd vote if the deal is rejected
on the 12th. 
- Attorney General Geoffrey Cox has rejected EU claims that the UK has not
provided a workable alternative to the existing backstop proposals. For the time
being, technical discussions around the backstop are still ongoing.
- Gilt yields have drifted lower this morning and are ~1.3-2.1bp lower on the
day. Current yield levels: 2-year 0.7288%, 5-year 0.919%, 10-year 1.209%,
30-year 1.695%. The curve initially steepened, but has subsequently flattened
towards yesterday's closing levels.
- The Jun-19 gilt future trades at 126.87 near the top of the day's range.
- Inflation breakevens are marginally higher. The 5-year benchmark trades at
3.070% up from 3.042%.
- Short sterling futures are 0.5-3.5 ticks higher with greens/blues
outperforming.
