Libyan Crude Exports Edged Higher in Feb After Protests

Libyan observed crude and condensate exports rose to just over 1mbpd last month, up from 958kbpd in January, Bloomberg ship-tracking data and shipping reports showed.

  • Shipments were boosted by the restart of output from the Sharara field in late January, following protests in January.
  • Shipments to China rose to 110kbpd last month, up from 32kbpd in January.
  • Exports to Italy fell to 314kpd in February, down from 422kbpd in January.
  • Shipments to Greece rose to 117kbpd last month, up from 71kbpd in January.
