Libyan NOC Lift Force Majeure at Brega and Zueitina Ports

Libyan NOC announces the lifting of force majeure on the ports of Brega and Zueitina, and the tanker named "Ebla" is on its way to ship condensate after its technical acceptance by Sirte Company.

  • “After long and continuous negotiations during the Eid al-Adha holiday, it was agreed that the tanker would enter upon its arrival and start shipping the condensate from Brega & Zueitina ports in a step followed by steps.” Chairman of NOC, Sanalla said.
  • He added, "A team of specialists from NOC & its subsidiaries are conducting negotiations to agree to accept the carriers to call on ports of Sidra and Zueitina and begin to resume production at the fields of the Waha & Mellitah companies, in the hope of a relief from the crisis."
  • “we assure the oil market that the State of Libya & NOC will continue to fulfill their responsibilities & maintain regular flow of oil to global markets, instructions have been given to companies to gradually increase production capacity of oil & natural gas.”
