US TSYS: Light support evident for T-Notes in Asia-Pac hours, with some worry
over what the elongated U.S. holiday weekend may bring, as the spectres of
COVID-19 worry and geopolitical tensions loom large in participants' minds. This
has resulted in some suggesting that there may be a reluctance to hold exposure
to long risk assets over the weekend, which could provide a bit of an underlying
bid to the contract during Friday's holiday shortened session (see earlier
bullet for exchange operating hours).
- Contract last +0-03 at 139-06.
- Volume light, with a tight range observed, as you would expect, while cash
markets remain closed owing to the Independence Day break.
- Looks like it will be headline watching from here until the end of the week.
