Limited start for U.S. Tsy...........>

US TSY FUTURES
US TSY FUTURES: Limited start for U.S. Tsy futures, with a fairly muted reaction
in U.S. equity index futures to the weekend news flow. Traders wary on the back
of weekend BBG source reports suggesting that U.S. President Trump was looking
at removing Fed Chair Powell. This has subsequently been played down by members
of Trump's administration and White House staff, with questions over the
legality of such a move apparent. Elsewhere U.S. Tsy Sec Mnuchin called around
the large U.S. banks' CEOs, in what was seemingly a liquidity monitoring
exercise. All the banks confirmed that they have "ample liquidity" and haven't
experienced any clearing or margin issues. Mnuchin is set to convene a call on
Monday with the President's working group on financial markets, which includes
officials from the Fed, SEC & CFTC.
- Tokyo is closed, meaning that cash Tsy markets won't open until London hours.
CME rate products & cash Tsys are set to close early.
- Eurodollar moves have been more pronounced, with the whites and reds running
1.0 to 5.5 ticks higher at writing.
- T-Notes last 121.03, U.S. Year cash Tsy yields closed at 2.790%.
