US NATGAS
Demand for feedgas in the US will likely continue growing as LNG export capacity is added to meet demand in Europe and Asia, according to Bloomberg.
- US flows will remain key options for piped natural gas previously shipped to Europe and Russia.
- US LNG facilities ran near capacity due to limited growth in export capacity, yet flexibility pushed flows into the spot market.
- Corpus Christi Stage 3 began LNG production in December and may add 1.3 bcf/d of base load nameplate capacity.
- Golden Pass, Texas, slated for service in 2025, may add another 2 bcf/d while Plaquemines in Louisiana is likely exceeding 1 bcf/d,
- Growth in capacity could push peak volume to more than 25 bcf/d by 2028.
- US pipeline flows to Mexico also reached a record high of 7.9 bcf/d in August, with higher power sector demand boosting volumes.
