POWER: Lion Storage to Build 350MW Dutch BESS Unit By 2027

 Dutch firm Lion Storage has reached financial close for its 350MW BESS units in the Netherlands, with the project set to be commissioned in 1H2027, the firm said.

  • The project will be able to store 1.4GWh of power and will use technology provided by Tesla.
  • The unit will be in North Sea Port – near the border of Belgium and will use the connection of a former coal plant in the area.
  • The firm has around 7GW of BESS development across the EU and aims to deploy 3GW by 2030.
