Lithuania has prepared the engineering infrastructure development plan and the strategic EIA report for the 700MW Harmony Link between Poland-Lithuanian, the Lithuanian Energy Ministry said.

  • The onshore cable would partially use the infrastructure corridor of the planned Rail Baltica railway route between Poland and Lithuania.
  • The decision to build the project on land was due to the high cost associated with constructing the project on the seabed – which pushed the project over budget.
  • The project is anticipated to be completed by 2030 and will be the second interconnector between the two countries.
