US TSYS
US TSYS: Little in the way of notable activity in the space during the bulk of
the Asia-Pacific session, with T-Notes continuing to tick back from the opening
highs, but still trading a healthy 9 ticks above settlement. T-Note futures were
pinned higher in early Asia-Pacific trade on the back of the flash crash in FX
that occurred while Globex was closed. This followed a late rally Wednesday
after Apple cut its Q1 guidance, levying most of the blame on EM performance,
notably in China.
- Tokyo is closed until Friday meaning cash Tsys will be closed until the London
open. - Eurodollar strip following bonds back from best levels. Whites +0.5-4.0,
Reds +4.0-5.5, Greens +4.5-5.0.
- Highlights in the space this week include M'fing ISM due later today, NFPs due
Friday, as well as ex-Fed Chairs Bernanke & Yellen interviewing the current Fed
Chair, Powell, on Friday. U.S. gov't shutdown continues.
- T-Notes last 122.15, U.S. 10-Year cash Tsy yields closed at 2.620%.
