JGBS: Little to pen for JGBs, with the contract sticking to a tight range,
consolidating the uptick witnessed in the overnight session. Flattening was once
again evident on the curve.
- CPI data was in line with exp., with all 3 of the major metrics ticking
higher, but remaining well shy of the BoJ's 2.0% goal.
- The latest liquidity enhancement auction for 1-5 Year JGBs was solid.
- Focus this weekend will fall on U.S. President Trump's trip to Japan, where he
will meet with PM Abe, although BBG sources have suggested that the visit in
unlikely to yield a trade agreement.
- 1-5 & 10-25+ Year Rinban operations dominate the local docket on Monday.
