FOREX: Little to report for the G10 FX space in early Asia trade, with the major
pairs sticking to tight ranges.
- Further speculation re: election timing in the UK continues to do the rounds,
as the opposition parties look to further tie the hands of PM Johnson.
- ANZ now pencil in further easing from the RBNZ, placing some limited pressure
on the kiwi, which has now unwound.
- The regional docket is limited today; 1-10 Year BoJ Rinban operations and
Japanese wage data provide the only real points of interest. Participants will
be on the lookout for any further rhetoric out of China in the wake of the
confirmation of the October Sino-U.S. ministerial level trade meeting in
Washington and lower talks level that will take place during September. U.S.
NFP's and an address from Fed Chair Powell provide the headline risk events in
NY hours. Elsewhere, the latest Canadian labour market report and German
industrial production data will be scrutinised.
