LNG and Norway Supplies to Europe Remain Strong

NATURAL GAS

Natural gas import supplies to Europe held steady in week 47 according to Bruegel data despite a drop in UK supplies.

  • Total imports in week 47 (20-26 Nov) edged up to 6,435mcm compared to 6,396mcm the previous week to remain near to levels seen this time last year.
  • A small increase in supply from LNG, Norway and Russian offset a drop from the UK, Algeria and Azerbaijan. UK supplies fell from 251mcm to 129mcm.
  • Both LNG supplies and Norway imports are up at the top of the 2015-2022 range with LNG at 2,784mcm and Norway at 1,865mcm.
