LNG: Australia’s Ichthys’ LNG to Resume 100% Output in Mid-Nov: INPEX

The INPEX-operated Ichthys LNG project in Australia expects to resume a 100% production rate in mid-November having restarted Train 2 as of Oct. 10, an INPEC spokesperson told Platts Oct. 11.

  • The Ichthys LNG plant’s operation rate had recovered to 50% to date with a reduced run rate at Train 1 a it undergoes an inspection to see if there is a similar issue as that detected in train 2.
  • The Ichthys plant now expects to resume shipping of 8-11 LNG cargoes per month after October, compared to five cargoes in September and nine in August.
