Jordan’s state utility Nepco has signed a 10-year charter agreement with BW Energy for an FSU to be moored at Aqaba on the Red Sea terminal from Q3 to Q4 of 2026, MEES said.

  • The FSU will service a planned onshore terminal set for completion in Q2 2026.
  • Once the 10-year period ends, Nepco will take ownership of the converted LNG carrier, according to BW Energy.
  • Jordan currently leases 750 mcf/d Energos Eskimo FSRU which is moored at Aqaba, and which has recently imported cargoes on behalf of Egypt.
