- The start follows this week receiving key regulatory approvals required.
- LNG vessel Venture Bayou has docked at the export plant after LSEG tanker tracking showed the vessel near the facility since October.
- Venture Global has sold LNG through a short-term strip offered earlier in 2024 for a total of 4-5 cargoes per month on a FOB and DES basis, sources told Platts, affirming expectation of startup shortly.
- Plaquemines LNG will be the eighth export terminal in the US and is expected to have an export capacity of at least 20mtpa.
- Feedgas supply to the terminal is still near zero according to Bloomberg.
