Russia’s sanctioned Arctic LNG 2 facility sent more fuel to storage, a sign that it is struggling to find buyers, Bloomberg said.

  • The Everest Energy vessel, carrying a shipment from the project, is docking at the Koryak floating storage unit in Russia’s Far East. This is the first ever delivery to that storage unit.
  • The Everest Energy also took the North Sea Route via the Arctic, a journey usually avoided by typical LNG vessels with ice-class certification.
  • The US has continually ratcheted up sanctions against the facility in an attempt to “kill the project” and limit the Kremlin’s hydrocarbon revenues.
  • Two other shipments were put into a storage unit in Murmansk.
