LNG: Summit LNG FSRU to Arrive at Bangladesh Port on July 11

Bangladesh's Summit LNG FSRU is due to arrive at Chittagong port on July 11, according to a Petrobangla official cited by Bloomberg.

  • The FSRU departed Singapore on July 6 where it was undergoing repairs following cyclone damage in late May, according to ship tracking data from LSEG and Kpler.
  • Bangladesh’s FSRU Summit LNG should resume operations mid-July after cyclone damage according to a Petrobangla official on July 4.
  • Bangladesh is importing six cargoes through its long-term deals this month, as well as two additional cargoes from the spot market arriving in mid July and on Jul 24-25, the official said.
  • Petrobangla declared force majeure on LNG deliveries and cancelled four spot cargoes scheduled for delivery from late May to around mid June.
  • Summit LNG is one of two floating LNG terminals in the country with a regasification capacity of 500mcf/d.
