Thailand’s PTT has signed a 5-year deal to buy LNG from Oman, according to Reuters.

  • The deal will be for 0.3m mtpa and will begin in 2025, PTT told Reuters.
  • PTT also said it was in talks with Oman LNG for a further nine-year supply contract for 0.8m mtpa starting 2026. This deal is under negotiations.
  • Thailand is Southeast Asia’s largest importer, with a record volume of 11.7m mtpa, Kpler said.
