LNG: US LNG Exports Rise in August: Reuters

US LNG exports rose to 7.48m mt in August, up from 6.69m mt in July, according to Reuters.
- Loadings were boosted by the return of Freeport LNG after an outage and maintenance activities.
- In August, Freeport LNG oversaw periods of production above its nameplate capacity as it begins to benefit from debottlenecking work to add output beyond the plant’s 15.3m mtpa.
- US exports continue to favour Asia, with 43% heading to the Pacific, compared to 39% going to Europe.
- Egypt, which continues to face higher summer power demand, imported 0.7m mt from the US.
- Sales of LNG to Latin America was 1.08m mt.
