LNG: US LNG Exports to Latam up 7% in Aug: Platts

US LNG exports to Latam and the Caribbean rose 7% in August on the month, Platts said.

  • The US exported around 37.56 bcf of LNG to the region in August, compared to 35.19 Bcf in July.
  • The exports were destined for six countries: the Dominican Republic (10.75 bcf), Brazil (10.66 Bcf) – up 200% on the month. Argentina (5.41 bcf) – down 60%, Colombia (5.38 Bcf), Chile (3.58 Bcf), and Panama (1.79 Bcf).
  • August was the 21st consecutive month of US exports to the Dominican Republic. Colombia and Chile have also received cargoes every month in 2024 to date.
