Lower House To Propose Janczyk, Ostrowska To MPC

  • Poland’s lower house of parliament has proposed Law & Justice lawmaker Wieslaw Janczyk and Gdansk University professor Elzbieta Ostrowska as candidates to the central bank’s Monetary Policy Council, according to the documents on the parliament’s website (BBG).
  • Separately, the upper house will vote later today to approve the two new members - Ludwik Kotecki and Przemyslaw Litwiniuk. The vote was first supposed to be delayed for the Feb 2/3 session.
