  • Reports of possible national shutdowns this week to protest the ANC's decision to force ANC SG Magashule to step aside have been downplayed by Magahsule & Carl Niehaus.
    • However, analysts still believe they are likely to go ahead. Supporters have demanded that the ANC recall Ramaphosa and his Cabinet, and the blocading of all national roads to and from business hubs.
    • Sources close to Magahsule said he is going to fight the step aside verdict
  • Eskom confirms contractual dispute Oracle, which claims it has been underpaid by R7.3bn for technical services provided to Eskom – and has threatened to terminate its services.
    • Eskom says it has introduced risk mitigating processes to reduce the risk of operations being disrupted
  • SA Revenue Services says it has collected R38bn more than expected in the 2019/20 budget, but 7.8% less than the prior period.
