Major Kazakh Fields Set for Maintenance Aug & Oct

Maintenance work is planned at the Chevron-led Tengiz oil field in Kazakhstan in August with a consequent partial decline in output according to the energy ministry.

  • Tengiz operator TCO plans to halt 2 out of 5 of older processing trains for work in 3Q according to earlier remarks from Chevron.
  • Works at the Karachaganak field are planned for October and will also lower production.
