Spot USD/MYR has edged higher and last operates at MYR4.2048, up 13 pips on the day. A clearance of Mar 29 high of MYR4.2260 would allow bulls to take aim at Mar 24 high of MYR4.2373. Bears would be pleased by a dip through Mar 30 low of MYR4.2000, which would expose Mar 17 low of MYR4.1823.

  • Malaysia begins reopening its international borders today and has already welcomed first batches of travellers from Singapore. Vaccinated travellers do not need to quarantine upon arrival, but do need to take pre-departure and post-arrival tests.
  • Malaysia's S&P Global M'fing PMI will be published at the bottom of the hour, with the local data docket virtually empty next week.
