Manufacturing PMI Rises to 50.2 in February

  • S&P Global’s Manufacturing PMI rose to 50.2 in February from 49.2 in January, data released this morning shows. That is the highest reading since 2023. New Orders rose to 49.1 compared to 46.6 prior – marking the eighth consecutive month of contraction.
  • Turkey hosts a diplomacy forum in Antalya, with President Erdogan and Foreign Minister Fidan expected to give speeches. According to Anadolu Ajansi’s diplomatic sources, the third edition of the forum will be attended by 19 heads of state, 73 ministers, and 57 international representatives. Russia's foreign minister, Lavrov, and Hungarian prime minister, Orban, will be in attendance.
  • Looking ahead to next week, CPI data for February (Est: +66.20% Y/Y; Prior: +64.86%) is the highlight.
