Market Watching for Cyclone Disruption to Aus LNG Output: Kpler

LNG

Woodside is preparing for the potential impact of a tropical cyclone in Western Australia impacting its LNG operations, according to Kpler.

  • No port calls are scheduled and its 16.3 mtpa Northwest Shelf & 4.9 mtpa Pluto LNG facilities are on alert, Kpler said.
  • Chevron is also vigilant regarding output at its 15.6 mtpa Gorgon and 8.9 mtpa Wheatstone plants.
  • Despite the cyclone threat, market participants are not overly concerned but remain vigilant amid the unpredictability of the weather system.
