Bloomberg reporting that German Chancellor Angela Merkel will hold her annual summer press conference tomorrow (Thursday 21 July). The event is usually a lengthy and wide-ranging conference, where the press asks the German leader questions on any number of subjects.
- This will be Merkel's final summer presser before she steps down at the September federal election.
- The devastating floods that have hit the north-west and west of the country likely to feature prominently in the presser, but the subjects of discussion could include climate change, Nord Stream II, EU relations and funding, relations with Russia, China, the US, and the UK, and many others.
