Mexican, Brazilian, Colombian Holidays to Thin Price Action

  • Market holidays across Mexico (Revolution Day), Brazil (Proclamation of the Republic) and Colombia (Independence Day) should keep market price action muted, although there are a handful of events worth monitoring throughout the Monday session.
  • Focus for the week in Mexico rests on the Three Amigos summit held between the USA, Mexico and Canada. The summit takes place on Thursday, at which Biden will also hold a bilateral meeting with AMLO.
  • In Chile, the final presidential election debate takes base ahead of the vote on November 21st first round of polling. The debate kicks off at 2000 local time (2300GMT / 1800ET ).
  • Across Peru, the government's defense minister has resigned, citing the ongoing scandal over allegations of government interference into military affairs. The news serves as a further blow to Castillo's cabinet.
