Mexico & Brazil Unemployment, Chile Production and Retail Sales Data

  • Mexico: National statistics bureau Inegi releases unemployment rate for October. The median estimate of surveyed economists sees the rate to reach 2.80% compared to the prior rate of 2.88%.
  • Brazil’s unemployment rate is expected to have fallen in October to 7.6% from 7.7% prior, according to economists surveyed by Bloomberg.
  • Chilean industrial production likely fell 0.70% in October from a year earlier. The Bloomberg forecast implies a monthly decline after strong growth in September and August, bolstered by mining and electricity. Production has been volatile and is below its year-ago level.
